Meet the Principal

Thank you for visiting Mercerville Elementary School, home of the Mountain Lions! It is an absolute honor to serve as Principal of such a warm, dynamic, and student-centered school community. Working alongside a dedicated and talented staff, supportive families, and incredible students is both a privilege and a joy.

At Mercerville, children come first. We believe that every student brings unique strengths, experiences, and talents to our school, and it’s our job to nurture those gifts through meaningful learning, compassion, and high expectations.

As a school community, we are deeply committed to academic excellence and the development of the whole child. Our instructional program is designed to engage students in critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration - essential skills for success in today’s world. Students participate in a rigorous curriculum across reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, while also exploring enrichment opportunities in art, music (choral for all grades, instrumental and strings for grades 3-5), foreign language instruction, media, and physical education.

Equally important to us is cultivating a positive and caring school culture. Through our character education and SEL initiatives, we help students build confidence, empathy, and respect for others. These values come to life every day through classroom lessons, schoolwide assemblies, and community service activities such as food and clothing drives. You’ll often see our Mountain Lions showing their school pride on Spirit Days and lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed - because that’s who we are.

We are also fortunate to have an incredibly active and supportive PTA, whose partnership truly enhances our students’ experiences. From family events to classroom projects, their contributions make a lasting difference, and I encourage all families to get involved in any way possible.

There is so much to celebrate at Mercerville - from the smiles on our students’ faces to the small victories that happen in classrooms each day. I am proud to lead a school where kindness, curiosity, and community are at the heart of everything we do.
